Covid-19 & LOC/Italy:

Validity of the Covid-19 RT-PCR test in Italy: 72 hours
As usual, people have to perform a Covid-19 test within the given deadline before the accreditation for the World Cup to be held in Valtellina. Please consider that the ISMF Covid-19 guidelines result more restrictive than the local requirements, so people have to consider the ISMF protocol in relation to the period of validity of the Covid-19 tests and in order to get the accreditation.
VALIDITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS WORLD CUP:
Antigen test: 24 hours
RT-PCR test: 48 hours
There will be the possibility of performing on-site the antigenic test near the race office during the afternoon of Wednesday 2 February 2022 from 14:00 to 17:00 (in conjunction with the opening of the accreditation). For this purpose, there will probably be an Italian Red Cross camper in the parking next to the race office. It has to be specified that a paper certificate of negativity will be issued for internal use to the event for the sole purpose of accreditation itself without issuing a QR Code as Green Pass. All people performing a test will have to sign a consent in which they agree to undergo this procedutre on the occasion of the execution of the test. In case of positivity the involved person will be taken in charge by the Italian Red Cross in Sondrio for the execution of a second confirmation test certified by the local health authority.
Each person that will need antigenic test(s) must strictly communicate to michele.maltese@lombardia.cri.it no later than Monday 31 January 2022 the following personal details for each involved person: NAME, SURNAME, DATE OF BIRTH, TAX CODE (IF ITALIAN), PASSPORT NUMBER (IF EXTRA EU), IDENTITY CARD NUMBER (IF EU) AND TEAM OF BELONGING.
It will not be possible to perform further tests than those requested by the evening of Monday 31 January.
Afterwards, the service will be organised by grouping the athletes by team, in order to facilitate the accreditation process.
The cost of the single antigenic test has a fixed cost of 15,00 €.
At the following link you will find the current legislation about the entrance in Italy from abroad with the exemptions for people participating in national sporting competitions taking place in Italy. It is currently valid until 31 January 2022, so there may be changes with the issuance of the new decree.
It is compulsory the compilation of the Passenger Locator Form before entering Italy, which is available here.
The ISMF would like to remind everybody that in Italy it is currently compulsory to hold a Super Green Pass (obtained through vaccination or following recovery from Covid-19) in order to overnight stay in any hotel and to use the chairlift/cable car.
The ISMF points out that it is the responsibility and the discretion of each team/person whether to participate in the ISMF World Cup races to be held in Valtellina, taking into account the provisions of the Italian government and the ISMF Covid-19 guidelines.
