The first Youth World Cup of the season kicked off in Berchtesgaden with three intense days of racing, bringing together the world’s best young ski mountaineering athletes for a full program featuring Sprint, Vertical, and Individual competitions. A total of 110 athletes competed across the U18 and U20 categories, representing 23 nations and highlighting the truly international character of the event. Throughout the weekend, athletes from Europe, Asia, and North America delivered strong performances and exciting racing, setting the tone for the season ahead.

The Sprint race opened the competition with fast-paced and highly technical action, gathering 109 athletes from 24 nations across all four categories. The Vertical race followed, testing endurance and climbing strength, while the Individual race concluded the event with demanding courses that combined technical skill, pacing, and resilience. With more than 100 young athletes on the start line each day and a wide diversity of nations represented, Berchtesgaden once again confirmed its status as a key venue for the development of the next generation of international ski mountaineering talent.

In less than two weeks, the season will then debut in MICO, with races scheduled for 19th and 21st, offering more excitement and challenges for the U18 and U20 categories.
