ISMF is proud to announce a significant milestone in its global journey. During Council meeting of 25 September, the ISMF has preliminarily agreed to accept the Full Membership application of the Royal Moroccan Ski and Mountain Sports Federation (FRMSSM).
This decision marks a historic moment for the ISMF—not only does it bring the total number of member federations to 56, but it also signifies the federation’s expansion into a new continent: Africa. With Morocco’s inclusion, ISMF now spans 5 continents, reinforcing its position as a global federation.
The inclusion of Morocco is a testament to the growing reach and appeal of ski mountaineering across diverse geographies and cultures. It reflects the ISMF’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and promoting mountain sports in regions where they are rapidly gaining traction.
