The next ISMF World Cup is officially confirmed in Val Martello, Italy
Lausanne, 3 March 2026 – Jointly with the Local Organising Committee, the ISMF is pleased to confirm the race event to be held in Val Martello, Italy, on 21 and 22 March 2026.
Information about cancellation of Individual race:
Following careful review of conditions in Val Martello, the LOC, together with ISMF, has decided to cancel the Individual competition scheduled for Thursday 19 March.
The LOC has confirmed that, due to exceptionally limited snow coverage and a highly problematic snowpack structure with a persistently high avalanche risk along the Individual race track, and the absence of viable alternative locations, they are not in a position to guarantee safe conditions for athletes, teams, volunteers, and mountain rescue teams. This assessment has been reviewed and confirmed by the ISMF Technical Delegate. Given the current snow situation and the forecast for continued warm weather, the required level of safety cannot be ensured to the satisfaction of the LOC, local authorities and ISMF.
The Sprint and Mixed Relay competitions remain unaffected. These events will take place as planned within the biathlon stadium area, where sufficient snow coverage and controlled conditions are available.
We recognise that this decision will cause disappointment. It was not taken lightly. However, this decision is guided first and foremost by the safety of all participants and with respect to the realities of the changing conditions in the mountains.
The World Cup calendar will continue to include three Individual competitions this season (Shahdag, Puy-Saint-Vincent and Villars), ensuring a valid World Cup Specialty ranking in the discipline.

The registration process for the ISMF World Cup in Val Martello is open
from today, 3 March 2026, until Monday 16 March 2026 at h. 23:59 CET. After that date, registrations will be no longer possible.
The ISMF kindly reminds that, as per ISMF Rules & Guidelines, late registration will not be possible.
You can register your athletes through the
ISMF intranet by clicking on the
“Registration” button in the top menu bar.
Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. You can check the current valid licences on the
ISMF intranet.

Information regarding registration for Mixed Relay race:
National Members should register athletes according to the number of teams required. This registration is done without indicating the composition of the teams but only listing the concerned athletes.
The final composition of the teams for the Mixed Relay race should be communicated on the WhatsApp group named “Val Martello WC 2026 – National Teams” (to be created soon)
no later than Friday 20 March 2026 at 14:00 CET. On that occasion, substitutions (i.e., a registered athlete replaced by a non-registered athlete) will be accepted, while extra/additional teams will not be allowed. After the deadline mentioned above, no further changes will be possible.
The accommodation will be in different hotels located in Val Martello.

NOTE: Please note that it is only possible to book accommodation through the Tourist Office Laces-Val Martello.
There will be three different categories for accommodation:
- Category A: 110,00 € per person/day in full board accommodation (single room +15,00 €)
- Category B: 100,00 € per person/day in full board accommodation (single room +15,00 €)
- Category C: 55,00 € per person/day (apartments without any food supply)
Category A: 3-star hotels or more***
Category B: 2-star hotels or less*
Information about wax cabins:
National teams can book via LOC wax cabins
free of charge for their usage. In the container house the LOC can provide enough wax cabins for all nations. Bookings are mandatory and possible via mail at
info@marmotta-trophy.it no later than 16 March 2026.
