Registration:

The registration process for the ISMF European Championships and World Cup in Shahdag is open from today until Saturday 28 February 2026 at h. 23:59 CET. After that date, registrations will be no longer possible through the standard procedure. You can register your athletes through the ISMF intranet by clicking on the “Registration” button in the top menu bar. Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. You can check the current valid licences on the ISMF intranet. In case of any issue in the registration process do not hesitate to contact the ISMF Office at valeria.ponzo@ismf-ski.org – +39 334 7022775.

Important information regarding registration for Individual and Vertical races:

If a Championship takes place together with a World Cup, no quota shall be applied for the registration and the start lists will follow the World Cup ranking. Two result lists will be published: the Championships results applying the quota (only the first X athletes from each country will appear, where X is the allocated quota) and the World Cup results, which will include all athletes.

Quota:

The ISMF kindly informs that for the European Championships there is a maximum quota of participants per nation for each category (Men & Women) for each race as summarised below:

Individual, Sprint and Vertical races:

• Senior: 4 M and 4 W
• U23: 3 M and 3 W (total of 7 Senior M and 7 Senior W)
• U20: 4 M and 4 W
• U18: 4 M and 4 W

Mixed Relay race:

• Senior: 3 teams
• Youth: 2 teams

Additional information regarding U23 category:

If a NM exceeds the maximum quota for the U23 category, additional U23 athletes may be entered in the Senior category. These athletes will not be eligible for U23 ranking and must be clearly designated as Senior-only by the coach in advance to the ISMF Office. In all cases, the maximum quota for the Senior category must not be exceeded.

Bonus:

In relation to quotas, the ISMF points out that there will be the bonus of an additional registration* for each gold medal awarded at the ISMF European Championships 2024 held in Flaine-Chamonix (France) in the same category of pertinence as follows:

*As stated above, there will be no entry quotas for the Individual and Vertical races; however, the bonus will be taken into account for the final results list of the European Championships.

Late registrations & substitutions:

Furthermore, as per ISMF Rules & Guidelines, the ISMF informs that for the European Championships each National Member has to make a global registration before the event by the above-mentioned deadline. Afterwards, coaches can modify the registrations as follows:

• The day before each race,from 12:30 to 13:30 (Local Time): possibility to register additional athletes by communication to the ISMF Ranking Manager, Mr. Olivier Mansiot, who will be on site (penalty of 100% in addition to the standard registration fee – The amount is to be paid through the usual ISMF online payment system. The ISMF Office with provide the payment link as soon as possible). Additional athletes will have the last bib numbers in the start lists.
• The day before each race, from 12:30 to 13:30 (Local Time): possibility to replace athletes (already registered in the European Championships) by communication to the ISMF Ranking Manager, Mr. Olivier Mansiot, for free.

Exception for Vertical race:

The ISMF Ranking Manager, Mr. Olivier Mansiot, will no longer be on site on the day before the Vertical race. Therefore, if you want to register additional athletes or replace athletes, please contact the ISMF Office (Valeria) via WhatsApp at +39 334 7022775.

Composition of the teams for the Mixed Relay race:

The final composition of the teams taking part in the scheduled Mixed Relay race should be communicated on the WhatsApp group named “Shahdag EUCH/WC – National Teams” (to be created soon) no later than Wednesday 4 March 2026 at 13:30 (Local Time).

Reminder regarding U18 and U20 athletes’ registration:

At Continental Championships, U20 athletes will be able to choose for each single race the category in which they want to participate. At Continental Championships, U18 athletes are allowed to participate in either but not both the Youth and the Senior category for Mixed Relay races. Therefore, they have to choose the category (Senior or Youth) for the relay races in which they want to participate when confirming the team’s composition.

• FLIGHTS: Please note that the discount for flights is applied in accordance with the following guidelines:

Further details:

• The use of RADIOS for national teams is not allowed.
• The use of DRONES for national teams is not allowed.

Sports details:

• HELMET use on the slopes is mandatory for everyone (coaches included).
• All members of the national teams (including coaches) must carry CRAMPONS and a HEADLAMP with them, should these be required. Final information regarding their use will be provided during the TCMs.
• National teams are required to bring their own TENTS AND WARM-UP BIKES. The LOC will provide a limited number of small tents exclusively for teams that do not have their own at ISMF events. Space is extremely limited, and reservation is required at info@wintersports.az no later than 25 February 2026.
