Accreditation system:
According to the Andorran Mountain Resort Law and the internal regulations of the Pal Arinsal ski resort, “Any person engaging in an activity within the ski resort area must hold the corresponding ski pass […]” and “In order to practise mountain sports and activities, such as ski mountaineering, within regulated activity areas, it is mandatory to acquire a ski pass.”
Therefore,
any person involved in the Ski Mountaineering World Cup must be duly accredited or, alternatively, must have purchased a valid ski pass granting access to the competition area. Please note that the ski pass is personal and non-transferable.
In accordance with the current ISMF regulations, the LOC will offer the following ski passes/accreditations:
- teams from 1 to 15 athletes: 2 ski passes
- teams from 16 to 25 athletes: 3 ski passes
- teams with 26 or more athletes: 4 ski passes
Each accreditation includes a 3-day ski pass (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).
Teams requiring additional ski passes may purchase them at the resort ticket office.
Equipment transport and delivery:
Teams wishing to bring equipment (bikes, tents, etc.) to the start and finish areas must contact the organization in advance to arrange transportation. A list of the equipment, a contact person, and a contact number will be required.
LOC contact:
mzorzano@palarinsal.com
Deadline: 5/01/2026.
The LOC will inform the teams of the meeting point location and time for equipment delivery and unloading. These times will be strictly scheduled outside the resort’s opening hours so as not to interfere with other resort users.
Additionally, equipment will be transported up to the venue on Sunday afternoon and will remain stored at the top for the following day.
No equipment will be transported on Monday. After the event, equipment will be brought down once the resort is closed and the machines can access the finish area to load it. There will be a scheduled order for equipment descent: teams who need to leave early due to a booked flight must inform the LOC in advance; for all other teams, the equipment will be brought down progressively.
Team equipment rules:
Teams are responsible for their own equipment; the organization will not be liable for any damage. Teams must secure their tents and equipment to ensure the smooth running of the event. The LOC will inspect all tents to verify that they are properly secured. The LOC reserves the right to refuse or dismantle team tents if deemed necessary.
Transport and parking:
The organization does not provide special transport for teams; they must be self-sufficient. There are three access routes to the resort: by road (private vehicle access), via the Josep Serra chairlift, and via the Orriols gondola.
Josep Serra chairlift:

Orriols gondola:

Parking is available at the resort and at the base of both lifts. Teams are kindly requested to respect the parking spaces marked by resort staff.
Trainings:
Training sessions will take place on Saturday on the Vertical Marrades circuit only. The Marrades section will only be accessible from 08:00 to 11:00, while the rest of the circuit can be used during the resort’s opening hours (09:00 to 17:00), this section is shared with other skiers. It is therefore important that athletes ski in single file as much as possible on the right-hand side of the slope to avoid collisions with other users. Only this circuit is authorized for training; teams training in any other non-authorized area of the ski domain will be reported to the ISMF, which will take the necessary measures.
To access the resort for training, athletes and staff must be accredited. Access will not be permitted without proper accreditation or a valid ski pass, and those without it will be required to turn back.
Below you will find a map showing the authorized circuit. The lower section is the restricted part, while the rest of the circuit is open during the resort’s regular opening hours. On the map, the circuit is represented by a yellow line, corresponding to Circuit No. 6.
Helmet use is mandatory for all athletes, staff, and always accompanying persons, during training, competitions, and whenever moving within the ski area.
Ceremonies:
All ceremonies will be held near the finish area. Flower Ceremonies will take place immediately after each category race. Awards Ceremonies will be held at the end of both categories.
Prize Money:
The prize money will be given in cash only,
no bank transfers will be made. All payments are made through Pal Customer Service, location:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/mzxLoGRoVnL6viTF8
Prize money withholdings: A 10% withholding will be applied to the IRNR, which is the tax applicable to individuals and companies that earn income in the Principality of Andorra and do not reside in Andorra. A withholding tax certificate will be issued so that you can process the deduction in your country of tax residence.
Passport, visas and customs:
Although Andorra is not a European Union member, it does have transit agreements with the EU. The Principality does not require any type of visa to enter Andorra; however, the country's European geographical situation is special. Andorra is not part of the European Union, nor is it part of the Schengen area; that is why we have transit agreements with neighbouring countries, thanks to which you will have no additional problems when it comes to entering the Principality.
If you are a European Union citizen, you do not need a visa to enter. Transit agreements with Spain and France mean that, in practice, people arriving from any European state will not be subject to any special procedure. A passport or national ID card is sufficient to enter or to leave Andorra.
If you are a citizen of a country that does not belong to the EU but is in the Schengen area, you must bring a valid passport.
If you are a citizen of a non-EU country, you must bring your passport and, given that access to Andorra is through France or Spain, you should find out at the French or Spanish embassies or consulates in your country whether you need a visa to access the Schengen area and, if necessary, how to go about the corresponding application. When necessary, you will need to apply for a two or multiple-entry Schengen visa, depending on your travel plans, so you can leave and re-enter the Schengen Area trouble-free.
EU CITIZENS
Adults: Valid national ID card or passport.
Minors accompanied by their parents: Valid national ID card or passport. Minors unaccompanied by any of their legal representatives (parents or guardian/s) or alone: Valid national ID card or passport and a signed statement issued at a police station authorising them to leave the country.
CITIZENS OF COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU WHO DO NOT NEED A SCHENGEN VISA TO TRAVEL TO EUROPE
Valid passport.
CITIZENS OF COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU WHO DO NEED A SCHENGEN VISA TO TRAVEL TO EUROPE
Valid passport with two or multiple-entry Schengen visa.

Customs control at the border: When returning to the European Union after visiting us, there are restrictions as to the amount of agricultural and industrial products you may take across the border. You may take the quantities or values per person of products purchased in Andorra as detailed in
this PDF, without paying customs duties or taxes. Please note that the quantities and values allowed may vary according to age.
How to get to Andorra:
By car: Given Andorra’s location nestled amongst the Pyrenees, the options for reaching the Principality all depend on driving. From Spain, the way to get there is the N-145 from La Seu d’Urgell. From France, Andorra can be reached via the N-22, N-20 and N-320 (Col de Puymorens mountain pass and tunnel).
By bus: Scheduled international services connect Andorra's to France and Spain. Principal companies:
https://www.busandorra.com/companyies
By train: Travelling by train is a good option for those coming from distant cities. The nearest train station is in France, in L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre and is approximately 11 kilometres by road from the border. This station is served by trains from major French cities, mainly in the south of the country, such as Toulouse. For visitors coming from Spain, one good solution is the Lleida Pirineus station, where high-speed trains (AVE) from Madrid Puerta de Atocha and Barcelona Sants stop.
By plane: Andorra doesn’t have an airport because of its location high up in the mountains. However, there are options for those who want to travel to the Principality by plane:
The closest airport, with the official name Andorra-La Seu Airport (LEU), is in La Seu d’Urgell, a town bordering our country, and the capital of the Alt Urgell region (in the province of Lleida). This high-mountain airfield has the navigation technology necessary to offer flights all year round. The Spanish airline Air Nostrum currently operates commercial routes to several destinations in Spain, such as Palma de Mallorca and Madrid, providing passengers with access to a wide variety of international and intercontinental connections. Private flights can also be made from Andorra - La Seu Airport.
In addition to this neighbouring facility, Andorra has several international airports within a 200-kilometre radius, such as Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS), Carcassonne (CCF), Perpignan (PGF), Girona-Costa Brava (GRO), Barcelona-El Prat (BCN), Reus (REU) and Alguaire (ILD).
