After finishing her cycling career, Tatjana Paller began searching for a new challenge that would combine her love for endurance sport with her passion for mountains and snow. Ski mountaineering quickly proved to be the perfect fit. Having always dreamed of becoming a professional athlete, she embraced the transition wholeheartedly and followed her instinct toward a new path in sport.
One of her proudest achievements so far is winning the bronze medal in the sprint at the 2025 World Championships, a milestone that confirmed her decision to switch disciplines. The transition from cycling to ski mountaineering was a defining moment in her career — stepping into a new sport without knowing how far she could go, but trusting her passion and listening to her heart. Today, she considers that decision one of the best she has made.
Her training routine varies depending on the phase of preparation. During winter, most sessions take place on skis, combining high-intensity intervals with long endurance training, often complemented by strength work in the gym. Mental preparation plays an important role as well; Tatjana focuses on controlling what she can, staying centered on her own performance, and sharing her thoughts with the people closest to her. Just before races, music helps her find focus and the right energy.
Outside of competition, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring other sports such as tennis, downhill biking, and surfing. Music is also an important part of her everyday life.
Looking ahead, her goal is to reach her best possible shape for the Olympic Games while also aiming for podium finishes in Sprint World Cup races. Through her journey, Tatjana hopes to inspire others to follow their passion and believe in the opportunities that come from pursuing what truly motivates them.
