Rebeka Cully’s love for the mountains began in her childhood, growing up surrounded by alpine landscapes. She started her athletic journey in swimming, then progressed to triathlon during university. In 2018, she added ski mountaineering to her winter training as a competitive triathlete—and quickly discovered a deeper passion for the sport than for triathlon itself.
A naturally competitive athlete, Rebeka was inspired by the best in the field, constantly measuring herself and learning from them. Her proudest achievement to date is finishing 14th in a World Cup sprint, a testament to her dedication and drive—even while balancing a non-professional athletic career. One of the defining challenges in her journey has been proving she can achieve strong results while not being a full-time professional.
Rebeka’s training and daily routine are carefully balanced with family life. Her day includes taking her child to kindergarten, working, training with running, biking, roller-skiing, strength work, and transitions, then returning home to spend time outdoors with her son and enjoy the evening with her husband. Mentally, she draws motivation from the sacrifices and hard work she has invested, focusing on giving her best in every session.
Outside of sport, Rebeka is committed to ongoing education in nutrition, coaching, and physiotherapy. Interestingly, although she grew up in the mountains, she now lives in a flat region without snow, which makes her winter training especially challenging.
For the upcoming season, Rebeka aims to achieve top-15 finishes in both the Olympics and the World Cup. Through her journey, she hopes to inspire women by showing that a sporting life can continue and thrive after becoming a mother. Her motto is simple: “Enjoy the journey as much as the destination.”
She emphasizes that, despite her achievements, she is not a professional athlete—but one who balances passion, family, and ambition with determination and joy.
