He has worked in the Mountain Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza (SAGF Cervinia – Italy) for 28 years and he has been Military instructor of Alpine skiing and Ski mountaineering. He is skimo National Referee, skimo International Referee and Technical Advisor/Delegate for ISMF. He has been National Coordinator of ski mountaineering Referees for the FISI for 4 years and President of the National ski mountaineering Commission for the FISI for 2 years. He has also been Coordinator of skimo Referees in Aosta Valley (ASIVA). He is the creator of the current tracking system for the ski mountaineering competition tracks and the creator of the Sprint race discipline. In addition, he is Tour du Rutor and Mezzalama circuits tracker, Supervisor of the World Championships race tracks in Tambre (Italy) and Organiser of the following sporting events: National Alpine Association (ANA) Italian Championships; the Bozzetti Bionaz Trophy (ski mountaineering) for 5 years; the Fiou and Vetan Trophy (ski mountaineering) for 5 years; skimo World Cup in Pila; skimo World Cup and European Championship on the Etna volcano; various Italian Championships (Individual, Sprint, Vertical, Relay, Team races); Gran Paradiso di Corsa race for 20 years; night skimo competitions in Cervinia, Pila, Torgnon, Chamois and Gressoney; the mountain race Becca di Nona in Aosta (Italy) for 12 years; three editions of the Vertical race Mont Mary; the Trail Becca di Viou.
