Ramone is an experienced sport professional and former Olympic athlete with extensive experience in sports administration. In his current role as General Director of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), he leads the federation’s operational and administrative functions, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and daily activities. In his previous role as Group Executive at the World Academy of Sport, Ramone led business development efforts and the implementation of learning solutions tailored to the needs of international sport organisations. He has led Australian teams as Chef de Mission at the Youth Olympic Games and has held key leadership roles, including Vice President of the ISMF and Deputy Chair of the Australian Olympic Committee Athletes’ Commission. Additionally, he has served in leadership roles with the Australian Olympic Team at every Winter Games since Sochi 2014. A former elite freestyle skier who represented Australia at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Ramone has a deep understanding of high-performance sport pathways, international sport governance, and the unique dynamics of the Olympic movement.
