Carlos Pruneda has been involved in winter sports for many years. He started as an Alpine skiing athlete in the Winter Olympics in Calgary 88. Since then he has been involved with the Mexican Winter Sports Federation, being in charge of alpine skiing, cross-country and snowboarding (FIS), and with bobsleigh and skeleton (IBSF). He is still part of the Executive Board in this Federation. And In 2017 he formed the Mexican Ski Federation (Federacion Mexicana de Ski, A.C.) And being a small federation the Mexican Olympic Committee has asked him to also federate the sport of Biathlon (IBU), and recently Ski Mountaineering (ISMF)
