Marianna Jagercikova discovered ski mountaineering at age 15, joining her father on his training sessions and quickly developing a love for the mountains. Even at 40’s, her passion for the sport continues to grow, inspiring her to compete at the highest level.
Her proudest achievement to date is winning the World Championship title in sprint in 2023, alongside her first World Cup victory—milestones that highlight her dedication, skill, and perseverance in the sport.
Marianna’s training focuses on balancing intense sessions with adequate rest, ensuring she is physically prepared and mentally sharp for competition. Off the slopes, she holds a PhD in environmental sciences and has summited Fitz Roy in Patagonia, demonstrating her adventurous spirit and love for exploration.
Outside of ski mountaineering, Marianna enjoys geology, climbing, and caving, reflecting her deep connection to the natural world.
Her philosophy is simple: enjoy the journey. She views ski mountaineering as one of the best ways to experience the mountains in winter, combining adventure, endurance, and the beauty of nature.
