Thibault Anselmet’s passion for ski mountaineering comes from a family tradition, where the love of the mountains and adventure runs deep. Drawn to the sport because “it’s a play,” Thibault quickly found joy in its challenge and freedom, eventually pursuing it at a competitive level.
His proudest achievements include winning the Overall World Cup three times in a row—a culmination of lessons learned after finishing second twice previously. These experiences taught him resilience, self-awareness, and valuable life lessons beyond sport.
Thibault trains year-round, with his schedule varying depending on the season, and emphasizes daily mental preparation, keeping his mind focused and adaptable for each challenge.
Outside of ski mountaineering, Thibault is a sports lover in every sense and enjoys photography, capturing both the beauty of nature and the thrill of movement.
Looking ahead, Thibault aims to compete at the Olympic Games and continue performing at the highest level in the World Cup and World Championships. He hopes to inspire others simply by being authentic: “I don’t hope to inspire—I’m just who I am, and if that inspires, it’s nice.” His personal philosophy is grounded in humility: “My only conviction today is the humility of knowing nothing.”
