Safeguarding
Ski mountaineering should be a place where athletes feel safe, respected, and able to thrive. Sadly, harassment or abuse may occur in sport and can have serious consequences. To address this, the ISMF adopted the ISMF Safeguarding Rules, approved by the Plenary Assembly on 18 October 2025 and effective from 1 December 2025.
Any suspected breach of the Safeguarding Rules can be reported—anonymously or not—through the ISMF Report Channel.
Athletes seeking advice or support can also contact the ISMF Safeguarding Officer at:

Vacancies
As part of its ongoing work to strengthen governance and decision-making, the ISMF relies on its Commissions to support the Council and administration across technical, regulatory, and strategic areas.
ISMF has opened the electoral process for the following Commissions, whose members will be elected by the ISMF Council in early April 2026:
- Medical Commission: 7 seats
- Gender Equality and Inclusion Commission: 1 to 3 seats
- Legal Safety Commission: 4 seats
Commission members act in an advisory capacity and are expected to operate in the best interests of the ISMF, in line with the ISMF Statutes, Integrity Code, and related governance regulations.
The electoral process for Commission members is currently closed. Updated information on vacant positions, including opportunities for nomination, will be published after the Council elections in April 2026.
