Naoko has been involved in the Olympic Movement since 1998 when the Olympic Winter Games were held in Nagano – her home. She has worked at the Nagano 1998, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 OCOGs. After SKIMO was added to the programme of Milano Cortina 2026, Naoko joined the JMSCA (Japan Mountaineering and Sports Climbing Association) and the Managing Committee of Asian Ski Mountaineering Federation to work on the Road to Milano Cortina 2026.
